WDT ACTIVITIES

Since 1982, the Women Development Trust (WDT) has been committed to expanding access to appropriate healthcare services and ensuring timely follow-up care for individuals and families across rural areas.

Our main areas of focus include:

  • Maintaining an updated directory of hospitals covered under the government health schemes.
  • Providing guidance, counselling, and financial support to patients and their caregivers to access quality healthcare, medical services, and relief at affordable costs.
  • Organising health camps to monitor the health status of children who have received support for acute or chronic conditions.
  • Identifying local healthcare providers, specialist doctors, and advanced medical institutions- both within and beyond Anantapuramu District, that offer quality care, and establishing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with them to strengthen referral pathways.
  • Supporting individuals and families who require medical care by facilitating access to appropriate services through a network of local and higher-level healthcare providers.
  • Ensuring regular follow-up care for patients and offering continued guidance and counselling to support recovery and wellbeing.
  • Extending medical support, in line with established norms, to individuals and families experiencing financial strain due to prolonged illness or high healthcare costs.
